Venkat Kannan is a Managing Director in Brookfield¡¯s Credit Group. In this role, he oversees the functions within the investment operations team. He also manages certain private fund operational teams in Brookfield¡¯s regional offices. Mr. Kannan previously led the financial planning and analysis team, as well as managed the finance and operations function for Brookfield¡¯s Global Client Group.

Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, Mr. Kannan held progressively senior roles in Toronto and Singapore at Canadian asset management firm Mackenzie Investments. He was previously a part of the audit and assurance practice at Deloitte in Toronto and Hong Kong.

Mr. Kannan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
